Holy moly! Our first arrived last night. There is a whole lot of stuff here. Instead of putting it all down today, I’ll post what we started using last night and this morning. Mandy of the liquids do require you to consume the the opened bottle within 30 days. Last night we started with:

Liquid Cleanse – Intended for short term use (7-10 day cycle). Mix one dropper full with some water or juice. I did taste it. It does need to be mixed with something.

Coral Calcium – This is a liquid calcium and and mineral supplement that compliments the daily build. We all know the bones of our bodies like their calcium. This one should be taken with food. Not a bad taste at all and bot of us easily put this down.

This morning we started with the rest of the CORE products and one SUPER FRUIT:

GoYin – Described on the Genesis Pure website as “Based on traditional herbal practices in Asia, GoYin uses a formula to help you achieve balance. For over 5,000 years, Asian practitioners have refined the art of balancing overall well-being.” Recommended use is 1-2 oz. on an empty stomach in the morning and afternoon. Neither one of us had a problem with drinking this product down.

Daily Blend – Described on the Genesis Pure website as “Genesis PURE™ Daily Build is a robust liquid daily vitamin. This unique formula features eight proprietary blends that incorporate some of the best nutrients available from nature and science. It contains six superfruits and a unique blend of superfood extracts such as chlorella, spirulina and alfalfa to deliver a wide range of nutrients needed to build your body with health benefits.” Has a strange dark green color. One of us put it down with no problem. For the other one it definitely needs to be mixed with something to put it down. You drink down 1 oz. and its best to take with food.

Mangosteen – Not too bad tasting and easy to drink down. Recommended is 1 oz. in the morning and 1 oz. in the afternoon. It is know as the ‘Queen of Fruits’. This is an interesting fruit. Using the internet and doing some searches there has been many studies and many others continue. We all know there are many pills out there that can be taken. We and our kids would prefer though to use liquids and GODS candy, such as the Mangosteen. From WEBMD states: “Mangosteen is used for many conditions, but so far, there isn’t enough scientific evidence to determine whether or not it is effective for any of them. Mangosteen is used for diarrhea, urinary tract infections (UTIs), gonorrhea, thrush, tuberculosis, menstrual disorders, cancer, osteoarthritis, and an intestinal infection called dysentery. It is also used for stimulating the immune system and improving mental health.” In many locations around the world this fruit is used to improve joint flexibility and as an anti-inflammatory. Since one of us does have arthritis and the other neck pain, we will use this product and see if these people are correct in what this fruit can do.

Essential Oil (Eucalyptus) – All their 100% Essential Oils are USDA Certified Organic. We added some to a diffuser in our room last night. Seasonal allergies in Houston this time of year. My car is yellow with pollen. We did not take any over the counter products last night like we usually have too. This morning we both woke up not stopped up or congested.

Organic Sulfur – Sulfur has been shown to support joint health and is a mineral that is in every cell in our bodies. It is shown to play a key role in liver metabolism and the function of the joint cartilage. There is research going on to see if it also acts as a defense that protects the aging patterns of the brain. Twenty years ago many of the fruits and vegetables eaten were much higher in sulfur than they are today due to the way farming is done present day. Interested to see how this added to our diet changes things for us.

So, right now this is what we have taken/used since 8:00pm last night. We will be trying more of the products soon and adding them to our diet. To try and evaluate these products fairly we are keeping our diet at home the way we have been eating. My wife started using the YOUTH RENEW last night and did a before photo. After a month we will take an AFTER photo and post give a review of this line of products. I happened to have a full physical a few days ago with blood work being done as well. After a month or two on the products we will see if my cholesterol has changed. My wife is also going to use the GRAPEFRUIT OIL as it has many health benefits. We have a lot of stuff to yet try. We will get it all and post our reviews of the products along with changes in daily life from the use the Genesis Pure line.

Genesis Pure Blog

Have you heard of Genesis Pure? I had not till a couple weeks ago. Some friends of ours introduced us to the products/business on Saturday. The philosophy is “Cleanse, Balance, Build”. We know several people who have been using the products. They stand by them saying “the products have changed my life”. Pretty powerful words. Thing is though, I have seen the changes in them. It was not only them saying it but me witnessing it. So, we have decided to jump in with both feet and see what happens, both from a health and business standpoint. They have an interesting business model. We will receive our products this evening and plan on starting the use of them tonight. I stated we jumped in with both feet. We wanted to use our blog to post information on the products we use and what our take on them is. We ordered the “Best Value 1500 Pack”. Tomorrow I will post all that comes in it. We will also post often about how we feel about the products and what difference we feel. We do some health issues.. arthritis, aches, pains, seasonal allergies and could stand to drop a few pounds. Some of you that read this may have some questions, please EMAIL us. Some out there may have used the products and I would like to know how you liked the products and if they have changed your life, please EMAIL us. Watch for more posts soon.

Banana Crumb Top Muffins

by Mandy on October 3, 2012

My youngest loves these muffins! They are moist and the crumb topping puts them over the top! They are quick and easy to make of you have 3 ripe bananas laying around.

The kids enjoy mixing these easy muffins up.

Even before putting them in the oven they look good enough to eat!

Sour Cream Banana Bread

by Mandy on October 3, 2012

It has taken me longer than I planned to get this first recipe posted. My husband and I enjoy cooking and now that the weather turned a little cooler this last weekend we got the pans out and grabbed some of our recipes. Its more fun now that our boys like to help too.

It does not long to throw the batter together and prepare the pans. The sugar and cinnamon in the pans give the outside of the bread a nice extra flavor. My husband loves this one nice and warm.

YUM!

The reason we selected this recipe is we got toooooo many bananas last week and I hate throwing them away.
